High Performance MEMS Inertial Sensors
for Energy & Mining Applications

The system requirements for the energy and mining markets combine high reliability and high precision under extreme operating conditions. High performance and cost-effective sensing solutions based on MEMS technologies are a tangible alternative to bulky and expensive quartz accelerometers and FOG (Fiber Optic Gyros), demonstrating challenging performances at a fraction of their price, size and power consumption.

Superior precision at high temperature

The accelerometers from Tronics AXO®300 product line feature a very low bias residual error of 0.5 mg, with a temperature range up to 175°C . They are ideally complemented by our high performance GYPRO®4000 gyros product line that feature low ARW and bias instability to build highly stable and accurate inertial measurement systems for drilling and surveying applications.

Excellent rejection of shocks and vibrations

Tronics designs and manufactures closed-loop digital MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes that feature excellent rejection of shocks and vibrations, making them the ideal candidates for guidance of directional drilling tools, measurement while drilling (MWD), north-finding and surveying applications exposed to severe operational conditions.

Digital and low-SWaP alternative to legacy analog sensors

Combining a miniature ceramic package with tactical-grade performances, Tronics’ AXO and GYPRO sensors bring a digital and low-SWaP alternative to legacy quartz accelerometers and Fiber Optic Gyros (FOG), paving the way for a new generation of MWD tools able to operate for long periods at high temperatures with no compromise on performance.
