Digital MEMS vibration sensor for preventive maintenance to be showcased at SENSOR+TEST 2023

SENSOR+TEST will take place from May 9th to 11th 2023 in Nürnberg, Deutschland. Gathering more than 300 exhibitors from 26 nations, this event will be the occasion for Tronics to showcase its upcoming MEMS vibration sensor for preventive maintenance.

Digital high frequency MEMS vibration sensors for condition monitoring

Antoine Filipe, CTO, will present Tronics’ and TDK Sensors AG’s paper “High-Frequency MEMS vibration sensor for preventive maintenance of pumps”:

Since the 70s, vibration measurements have been used on large equipment’s to determine the state of wear of various mechanical parts. However, due to the high complexity of vibration signals, such measurements are most often carried out by service providers rather than used as continuous industrial measurement. The recent advent of digital MEMS vibration sensors is enabling the adoption of embedded software (data processed at the Edge). This is a major benefit for the User as he just has to take care of Condition Indicators (CI). This presentation will share results obtained with a 20kHz bandwidth digital MEMS vibration sensor manufactured by Tronics mounted on an industrial Pump used in a factory. A focus will be made on statistical results obtained before and after maintenance, according to industrial standards.
